The Screen Is Up

I have my screen. I have it on the wall. I am moving my furniture around to get ready for my new furniture being delivered, and so that the old TV is no longer blocking the BIG SCREEN.

Official final measurements:
Screen height: 56"
Screen width: 103.6"
black velveteen border: 1.75" on all sides
diagonal size: ~117"

Height off floor - 30"

Current issues - some hotspotting (you can tell where the lamp is) on very bright scenes, like a hockey game.

And, how do you clean laminate so that there are NO streaks?

Furniture

It adds up quickly.

But, we now have furniture ordered for the family room... existing furniture moving to the living room. We ordered a couch (brown), 2 chairs (sage) and a daybed (more like a chaise than other types, multi colored, primarily reddish, almost a plaid but too large a pattern for that).

4-8 weeks and we'll have that.

And we decided to switch which wall the TV projects on. It'll now be 5' x 9'. Talk about BIG SCREEN.

More Screens

I've sorta decided how I want to do my screen. I was thinking of the Parkland Plastics vinyl paneling. Then I found out it was really flimsy. So I searched around a bit more on AVS Forums and found a laminate that is supposed to work pretty well. It would weigh about 10 lbs. The recommended mounting format seems good to me - the hooks you use for hanging mirrors. Particularly since I'm not 100% certain that where the screen is now is where I want it to be 6 months from now.

Now, for attaching a black velvet border to the laminate.... I think I need to buy a staple gun.
