So, at work while I cannot get access to any of my webmail accounts, I can now get access to Google talk (through the desktop client only). This has led me to play with Google's sidebar and I'm pretty happy with it. I actually like its RSS feed based off of my web habits - Google analyzes what I surf to and then pulls up similar stories and/or articles from the same site. Now, if only I could find a simple plugin to post from...

In other news... we've got snow. Lots of it. Enough that we bought a snowblower. DH will probably go skiing some weekend in January. I am not. But with several feet of snow on the ground, it is calling me.

We've done virtually nothing it seems to get ready for the kid. We ordered the glider. I registered for a bunch of stuff. I've looked at childbirth classes starting next month.

And I still haven't done my Christmas shopping. Nor have we decided how to do holiday cards (I would like to do a nice online version... but no idea how).

Non-Holiday Shopping

While doing the laundry over the past month or so, our compartmentalized mesh hamper ripped in rather unfortunate places and is now approaching non-usable.

So, I went out after work last night to try and find a replacement.

I thought Target would have hampers. Nope - that section has been replaced with Christmas decorations. Tried Linens 'N' Things - same deal.

Gave up for the night.

Do people not need hampers during December?
