Friends
Its always tough when you move to a brand new area. Even though I've been here for over a year, and I've done a few social activities with either my coworkers or DH's coworkers, its been a long time since I've had a non-work friend around.
That seems to be changing. It makes me very happy.
My college roommate moved to the general area. And I seem to be making some friends through fencing. Its taken a long time. But... I'm getting there.

I hear you! I'm facing a related phenom -- DC is such a transient city that I'm now contending with the fact that most of my friends, except the ones who are married with children, have left....Which means I haven't got as many friends up for improvisational hanging out or evening activities....
As one of those who's up and left DC... I miss being able to hang out :)
